talk to Beth/julnar, she has a heated barn that they ride in tshirts all winter! the northern/colder states often DO have heated barns -- you insulate them and spend a LOT on heating. even the arenas are heated!
any case, I've three different winter types of gloves, depending on how cold it is.
one pair are just fleece backed, so the back of the hands/fingers have a fleece liner, but the palm is the same grippy material.
the 2nd pair are fleece all around but with the grippy palm on top of it
the 3rd are these ULTRA nice leather glove (soft soft kidskin so you don't get too much bulk) that are lined with .. something. soft. WARM. but I could see the wear on those gloves after a month so I try to save them for the coldest days so i don't wear them out (at $50 a pair I want to make them last!) too fast.
my 1st two pairs are from Heritage, since they have the longer fingers that I need and come in sizes (6, 7, 7.5, 8, etc) rather than 'general' sizes like 'ladies', 'mens', etc. I'm an 8, which here is a large ladies or a small man's size, so the general gender sizing doesn't work for me :P
