btw, I found the PERFECT riding music for Denali.
come on, guess!
the Grateful Dead!
nono, seriously. I never listened to them growing up but it was fairly pervasive, growing up in Marin County. They had a house a few houses down from my parents when they were in Mill Valley (before I was born) so I think my parents got more of their music than they wanted (something about crazy parties...) and they weren't into the reefer scene (anymore) at that point. But my mom started listening to them again and in the continual music swap that happens between me and my parents (really, don't ask it's bizarre), I got some Dead music and it's GOOD groovy stretch trot through the back sort of music.
Can't wait to try riding her to this stuff!

We needed some fun music to keep us going, as I often ended up doing both boys' trot sets on the same day...totaling over an hour of trotting, plus walk work, so plenty of time to get bored out of my skull. It's an eclectic list, but largely bouncy, catchy, get stuck in your head kind of songs :)
There's the pre-xc playlist too...mostly classic rock with a little punk and a little ska thrown in.
